Should I be scared of the law of attraction?
« on: May 16, 2012, 01:29:55 AM »
Hey everybody,

I've been using the law of attraction for about a month now. I can't say I really manifested big things, but I can say I am more positive about life. So that's a good start I think.

But today something happened that kind of shaked my believes. Last week I went to a sandwichbar. I noticed that there was a new girl working. She was really pretty and she looked very special.
I told myself that one day I would ask her out. I invisioned myself asking her out and she saying yes. I really felt the joy of going on a date with her. But it wasn't like I was constently thinking about it or something.
I also told myself that it didn't matter if she would say 'no', because at least I would have tried.
So yesterday and today I went to the same sandwichbar. But she wasn't there. I didn't think much about it. I said to myself: next time you will get your chance.
But today I went on facebook and I saw that a friend of mine posted some pictures of him going out. And yes, it's a small world because she was in that picture. I told this to another friend of mine and he said that she probably is his girlfriend.
I was kind of taken a back by that.

So this got me thinking about how I used to think: I have lot's exemples of times when I was really excited about something or I really believed something would happen and eventually the complete opposite would happen.

So now I'm wondering: I'm a ruining my chances by believing and visualising things? Or am I just using the law of attraction the wrong way?

I ask this question because a part of me is still trying to attract my ex back (I've visualized this to). A part of me believes I would get back with my ex and it would be devasting if I knew I would be ruining this by my believe in the law of attraction.

Hi, I wish I could help you sorry but i'm curious to what the rest of you guys think because i'm in the same boat (in a way). I've known about the law of attraction for around 4 years but i've always struggled to apply it. Firstly, I tried to attract my soulmate, it did attract someone out of the blue and we were really close, infact we became best of friends, to cut a long story short she treated me like a mug and was never interested in me, just use me whenever she wanted something and ignore me the rest of the time.
After pushing loa to the side for a year i decided to try again three months ago, strangely out of the blue I attracted a girl that matched everything I wrote on my list, cut a long story short she now ignores me and after she has been moaning that over the last 3 years she hasnt been able get a boyfriend for love nor money, she now has a boyfriend.
Everything I do seems to produce the opposite results, now i've finished my degree I have less stress and more time so I really want to concentrate on loa, but I have no 'self love' and I also have Ocd which tends to hinder my thinking, I know these are factors that caused my failure over the last couple of years, it'll be a challenge but i'm determined this time to get it right.

The question is why are you afraid of LOA... meaning in order for you to be afraid of it means there is an outcome you fear will happen if you apply it. Ex. I’m afraid if i use LOA i might get X as an outcome if i don’t do something right. What is this X you are afraid of, and why do you have that belief in you.

So for you, just based on what you said but I’m sure there is more, you have relationships that are very personal and meaningful to you but the other person losses this connection over time. Essentially you need to break the pattern, and the only way to do this is to analyze yourself and what beliefs you have within you that are manifesting to this occur.

The thing probably is that: you visualize to make it happen, therefore your visualization doesn't effect your feeling-vibration strong enough and consistent enough to have wanted physical manifestation  ;D Universe cares only about your feeling-vibrational base, and LOA brings only what matches to your current state of being. So you may visualize one way and then feel another way, but what you get is based on what you feel  :(
You don't need to afraid of LOA. Because it is Law of Universe. It's always neutral and fair. You just need to learn how to utilize LOA in the way that serve you.

Hey thanks the replies.

Hainguyen 99, I don't really understand what you mean. You say I visualize to make it happen and therefore it doesn't have effect.
But isn't that the hole idea: getting what you want?

Could you please explain what you mean?

Ah I means: visualization doesn't directly bring the desire into physical form. it's just one of the processes that helps us to raise our vibration (or state of being). When our vibration is in aligment with the desire, then it manifests.
I think this report will help you to understand more, plz take time to read it :D
