Poll: Signs - Ask the Universe, or have the Universe show you

I decided to make this poll after debating this with myself today. 
In regards to my specific desire of attracting my ex-best friend back into my life, I've asked the Universe for specific signs on specific days to show me that I'm on the right path. I've gotten some signs, but they weren't ones that knocked me off my feet. They were somewhat vague, but still in the area of what I had asked for. Maybe I didn't get what I asked for because I still haven't let go yet. But today I saw some signs that were more direct and I never asked for them.

So my poll question to you all is:

Do you prefer to ask for specific signs on specific days to show that your manifestation will come to be, or do you think it's better for the Universe to take control and show you the signs when you least expect it?

I know there is no right or wrong answer - to each their own - but I'm curious to know what everyone's thoughts are on this.

I used to ask 4 signs, but I never would get it from the universe.  I guess I was 2 focused on looking for signs.  Now that I have stopped asking, the signs are coming in by the truck load.  Even my LOA buddy at work is boggled at the signs, we both howl with laughter when they come.. . The last thing my buddy said when I was leaving work was' did u find ur wedding dress yet'.  Thank you universe 4 my signs.

I have had BOTH ways manifest into signs.

I have had signs i asked for SPECIFICALLY show themselves..some actually shocked me and put a smile on my face and some actually made me chuckle in the way they came to me

Some actually didn't hit me until a day or so later..and others i wasn't that sure about until i realized i wouldn't have picked up on it if i hadn't have asked for it, vague or not.


Also...i have had God/The Universe show me when it was time (without asking or much thought) and that was good and beneficial as well..because i didn't HAVE TO ASK it was just falling into place which i love.

Also, patience (when asking or waiting) is something that i have learned. And there is a right way and a wrong way to be patient. 

Detachment is a great way, i am reading ALOT about this now...thank GOD for these boards..i believe being impatient, sad, angry and desperate only gets you more of the same which i have found. 

I say Detachment is the best way..to be HAPPY, go on with your life doing what feels good and gives out good vibrations and KNOW its already yours...AND KEEP AFFIRMING THAT!

Also..patience is needed because the ''timing'' of everything is just that, THE PERFECT TIME FOR ALL TO COME TO YOU the extra time is needed to put everythig together just so...it wouldn't take so long if there wasn't a NEED for things to be just the way YOU need them to be..or better yet the way God/The Universe wants it for you.

I think that, in general, asking for signs says to the Universe that you don't trust it and that you doubt that you will have your desire manifested.  So, I prefer to just let things flow naturally.  There are specific things that I perceive as signs.  There have only been a few times that I have specifically asked for them - all other times, I just get them.  I think it's not a good idea to rely on signs - you should be trusting your intuition.

I used to asked for signs but not anymore.  Then when I don't ask and allow myself to feel detach, I see signs everywhere.  For e.g. lately, I've been seeing a lot of the word, "Believe".  I don't mean the word is part of a sentence but it is the word by itself! Amazing!  It's like the universe is telling me to keep believing what I've asked for is coming to me.

That's great! I've been seeing and hearing "TAKE ACTION" everywhere lately. On sides of vans or trucks, on the radio. It's so amazing how we pick up on things like action or believe once LOA comes into our lives.

Funny thing that happened this week. After I posted this topic I decided to ask for 2 things from the Universe as signs. I don't why, I just decided too even though I tend to lean more towards the "Don't ask for signs" thing. But BOTH signs I asked for this week ended up happening... and within the time frame. So now I'm on the fence with this one.
