Peace of Mind List

By Pam Walatka

Welcome the unexpected. Just because you didn't plan it doesn't mean it isn't good. Waiting is a chance to rest.
Focus on the moment. To learn how to focus, practice meditation. Notice the details changing.
Don't spend money before you have it.
Walk, stretch, and work out for health. Exercise feels good.
Drink water and eat fruit. Not exclusively, but a lot.
Get more sleep. Eight hours of sleep will make you smarter, safer, nicer, and better looking.
Be honest, loyal, faithful, and kind. This should keep you out of trouble.
Do less. Do fewer things, with more time in between them. Just say no to opportunity. Limit non-routine events to one or none per day.
Breathe deeply. And often.
Everyday, go outside and play.
Appreciate being alive. Life is the greatest accomplishment in the universe.
Be cheerful and warm hearted.
I feel connected with my source!!

I am here to serve, to love, to prosper, and to enjoy myself.

I am open to receive!

I accept everyone just as they are!

I honor and love myself, just as I am!

I love most of this list, except:

I can see where it comes from, but in practise I think it is wrong to issue as a blanket statement. It depends what you are doing and why. If you are open to new experiences and new opportunities, I think it expands you to accept them. I was brought up with the philosophy of doing as little as possible, and I think it limited my life. The people I admire most and find the most interesting are people with full lives, who take on new challenges and aren't always saying they are too tired or have too much on.

Of course you should feel free to say no to doing new things if you are feeling stressed or unhappy or otherwise just don't feel like doing it. But I think there is a trap of laziness and closedness in there, that interferes with the idea of living in the moment. I look at some of my family members and see them still living with this philosophy of doing as little as possible - but they aren't relishing the moments, they are just existing. They seem like sad, unfulfilled lives to me. My life has improved since I decided to do more, not less. I think a better way of looking at this is to accept new opportunities, but as a means of expansion and living in the moment, rather than out of a sense of urgency or drive or need to achieve an arbitrary goal. Obviously your mileage may vary :)

I look at it like do less stuff that just keeps you busy, like watching TV, playing video games, playing on the computer.....So you can be one with yourself.

So you can have quite time with yourself and your thoughts without distraction.   :)

We have a lot of desires. Some of us dream of having a successful   career, a wealthy lifestyle, a secure financial status, a secure   relationship, or just simply of going to college or eating at that fancy   restaurant sometime. One thing is for sure that some of you might not   believe: You can have, be or do anything and everything you want  ;D :D ;) :)

  • Lauren444: very interesting LOL..i was actually wondering this morning at what point are people supposed to give up? i mean, if you want something that isn't in line with your highest path, unknown to you of course that it isn't right for you,..how does one know? when something hasn't manifested if it's still on the way or if it never was? how do you know when to say "okay, the U must know this isn't good for me?"

  • Mr Brightside: Your sad because you wont let yourself go, and you will continue to feel that way until you get to that point. You have to understand, YOU dont let go of your desires ... you only let go of the pain

  • truelove: Hey LOL do you mean giving up trying to manifest something specific? If so you know what, when you get to this point it's a really great idea to  give the whole thing over to the universe and say  "I give up, it's in your hands now" then move on and find something that will bring you pleasure to do. Anything at all. And I believe that is when miracles happen. Hugs to you sweetie xxx

  • excel: Loa at its finest. Last night I was going to the cinema and I had bought tickets earlier. So i was like "I hope i wont FORGET them" "I hope I won't FORGET them" I was telling the others, remind me not to FORGET them. And you know what, we went and I FORGOT them :D so we had to go back. If only rephrased it to, "Remind me to HAVE them in ME"

  • nofear10: please read my story in the relationship section. its titled Law of Attraction really does work!! I am in the process of getting my girl back :)
    May 25, 2013, 09:28:08 AM
  • Laughoutloudx3: I thank when I agree or "like". I think that's what everyone does here. Who doesn't thank anyone? I see everyone with given & received thank yous, & with all of us new members the karma matches up with the thank you each of us have received. It's only the old members who don't match up!
    May 25, 2013, 09:27:50 AM
  • nofear10: I love how the LOA works!! I am so grateful for knowing how it works :)
    May 25, 2013, 09:26:43 AM
  • BrandyGrandy: AND what the "thank you's" are about and why so many don't "thank" anyone. Like I said, I "thank" when I agree, sorta like the *like* button on fb, but I don't think it works that way here.  :/
    May 25, 2013, 09:11:16 AM
  • BrandyGrandy: LOLx3, that's too funny!!  Hopefully maybe one of the "old heads" on here will tell us what all these stats are about!! x
    May 25, 2013, 09:06:58 AM
  • Laughoutloudx3: ML, you say that this guy has been searching for you for months. So he likes you, and you turned him down. According to loa, shouldn't he be able to have you if he still wants you eventually? :P uh oh!
    May 25, 2013, 08:49:03 AM
  • Laughoutloudx3: OMG Brandy, I was going to ask that earlier!!!!! I assumed that karma was the same as the amount of thank yous you have received, but a few people especially older members have karma and thank you numbers that are different from each other. I was confused on that, and so funny u asked when I was going to!!
