Passive or Active Manifesting
« on: January 28, 2012, 08:58:12 AM »
My favorite LoA blogger is all about not doing anything http://goodvibeblog.com/slacker-manifesting-abigail-steidley/

while I myself tend to be a bit more action oriented (though I've gotten results with both approaches). So I'm curious to hear about what works for you and your thoughts and experiences with doing nothing or doing something.  ;D

First, thanks for posting that link.  I had never seen that blog before and it looks really interesting.

I've only manifested pretty small things thus far - seeing cars, coins with a specific date, songs, etc.  Everything that I have manifested since I've been actively practicing LOA and paying attention have been by basically just stating the intention and letting it go.  That was pretty easy to do because they weren't things I was particularly emotional about.  At the moment, I'm focusing a lot more on making time to meditate every day and journal.  I'm not actively visualizing anything or saying affirmations.  I do express gratitude every day in my journal for things that manifested that day, things that happened that day to make me happy, signs I've received and also, my future manifestations.  If I daydream about the things that I want to manifest, I just let it happen and not really focus on it.  My focus is just on myself and trying to become as happy and peaceful as I can be.

I think that we can get really excited about all of the different techniques and tools that are out there and think if we do all of them, our desire is sure to manifest quicker, right?  I know I have been guilty of that.  And then when we start to see signs of manifestation, we get over eager and try to force things to happen even sooner.  Again, looking in the mirror.  When I think about the things that I have manifested, which in the grand scheme of things is no different than the ones I haven't, what worked was just getting out of my way.  Obviously, taking appropriate action when necessary, i.e., it was difficult to her a song if I didn't turn the radio or ipod on, but not tying to make anything specific happen.

Really interesting topic - I think she is on to something.

Most definately the do nothing approach works better for me. When I try to make things happen, they actually get worse. It can be a very hard thing to do though...but I'm learning!!

Apple - that's how it is with me as well. In retrospect, when I've just let go and let things happen without doing ANYTHING is when my desire manifests perfectly. But when I try to take action, either things don't happen or they happen in a way that is more negative than anything else. I've finally learned to let my desire manifest when the timing is right rather than have it manifest quickly.

I think a balance has to be found between active and passive.
Trying too hard is focusing too much on the lack and yet you have to send out your desire to the universe in a way. It just has to be something fun and effortless, something that makes you feel good, something that comes naturally without you struggling. It is very close to daydreaming really.

I have never manifested anything when I tried too hard, usually the contrary happened. When my visualizations were fun and effortless, it always happened.

Thank you so much. This is really a great topic and something thats been on my mind.

I agree with not having to try so hard, its sometimes like smashing your head against the wall or running, chasing after something you will never catch up to???
By just ''allowing'' things to happen, and flow your way..or getting out of your own way as someone put it, it just seems to come together.

And thats when things seem to come easily without frustration..an even flow if you will. Not from an exhausting, push & pull to get everything where you want it.

I have been guilty of trying to ''create'' something or push for a response and or result..its true, it usually doesn't manifest..or end well for that matter. I usually find i am frustrated, sad and even angry out of just surre exhaustion..like the article said. And then i find myself wanting to give up, which in the end is never what i truly want to do. Because i have seen good results and KNOW it works..i won't ever give up.

I am now tryng to take a step back, and yes i have already seen results!!!! Let God/The Universe do their job ;D there are just things that only HE..or it can provide..or change!

On a side note-I also noticed by just asking (especially when i am upset and/or frustrated i get a sign/answer almost immediately..and thats just from ASKING!

Thanks so much...God Bless :)

In my opinion I don't think a vision board or anything else you do in regards to self healing would be considered active. Those things are done to raise your vibrations to make you feel good. I think if you were to constantly contact or aggressively physically try to manifest your desire... then that would be considered active.

Actually, I think vision boards, energy balls, affirmations, visualization would all be considered active.

That's a good question and I'm not really sure what's the answer. I'm sort of leaning towards active, just because well...you're doing something. But if you do it because it was an inspired action...I would think that's sort of passive and going with the flow of things. I don't know.

For me, I find that passive manifesting is really just sitting there and doing absolutely nothing aside from thinking...big money is coming. And then poof! A few days later money comes from where I least expect it.

But then active manifesting, that to me is like packing suitcases and researching plane tickets to go visit another country even though I haven't any money to go there. I've done stuff like that too where I've just sort of acted as if things were happening even though I didn't know what the heck would really happen and stuff just sort of fell into place too.  This is kind of my favorite method because well, I'm doing something and I like doing things.  :P

It's kind of interesting. I don't think passive manifesting would work as nicely for me for something like a trip to Europe, because it's ingrained in my head that you need to prepare and plan for those sorts of things. But for things that I really have no control over, like whether or not I'll get a phonecall from someone, the passive approach works pretty well.

yes tereza,
pretty much interesting, the greatest and most surprising things though i had with passsive manifesting. just sent and forget about it at all.

i am now testing the magical box, which is kind of both, but more passive, cause you close that box and dont go there until you put something new in.

What types of things have you manifested using the passive method?  Just curious  :)

Can't wait to try the magic box....

God Bless!

Active Manifestation all the way(I enjoy thinking of my intentions).  I am not very good at forgetting about my order.  Whatever makes an individual happy, is the best approach 2 take.
