The Kybalion - Three Initiates

Hi,

It's impossible for me to make a guide about the 7 Hermetic's Law when "The Kybalion - Three Initiates" itself it's a guide book. And it weighed far more than any ordinary kind of guide.

For the past few weeks of missing around the Forum, I was researching, working and studying with Hermetic's Teachings. What is Hermetic? Hermetic comes from the word 'Hermes' and it originated from Hermes Trismegistus, an ancient and wise Egypt Philosopher. Another one, Thoth, is known as the God for the past Egyptians.

Alright. I will stop for Historical Telling because your mindset is hinting me this way: What is this going to do with Law of Attraction? I am not going to answer your question. You will find the answers along the way. And I repeat again: This is not a guide. This is just a key points and nutshells of what I have learned and studied and most importantly, I am just going to relate the laws into Law of Attraction. Don't get wrong with my words below, 60% of the words are copied and paste.

On the last note: If you feel any material below is an act of blasphemy your religion or you don't feel comfortable, just jump away.

"The Principles of Truth are Seven; he who knows these, understandingly, possesses the Magic Key before whose touch all the Doors of the Temple fly open." — The Kybalion.


Here it goes:

" The lips of wisdom are sealed, except to the ears of understandings. " — The Kybalion

I. Principle of Mentalism
"THE ALL is MIND; The Universe is Mental."

This great and first Principle of Mentalism states that, everything around us, we see, perceive and even our thoughts are all from a source; The All. And it's true that whatever we do, perceive, or the world is Mental. The Universe is truly Mental. Also, the world has a true agenda, it's called The All. The All is something which we cannot explain. It's also a place where things have been created andthings have yet been created exist. Whatever we human have not discovered our thought about something, it must and have already manifested inside The All. What is The All? You cannot explain The All because everything is The All. Because of this Law, all of us are connected in all Physical, Astral, Mental and Spiritual.

Law of Attraction: It's true that whatever our mind think, we attract. "Energy", "Power" and "Matter" is Mental. Our mind is the true master of what you want and what it can achieve. Things have to be created inside the Mental Plane before it comes to Astral Plane and finally to Physical Plane. It's also true that when you want someone or manifest a desire, you are able to send loving thoughts or blessings to people because we are all connected; Mental.

II. Principle of Correspondence
"As above, so below; as below so above."

This Principle embodies the truth that there is always a Correspondence  between the laws and phenomena of the various planes of Being and Life. There are planes beyond our knowing, but when we apply the Principle of  Correspondence to them we are able to understand much that would  otherwise be unknowable to us.

Law of Attraction: Digest this law, look a closer picture. Principles of Geometry enables man to measure distant suns and their  movements, while seated in his observatory, so a knowledge of the  Principle of Correspondence enables Man to reason intelligently from  the Known to the Unknown. This means that we can actually tap into a higher plane for support or looking for true self. One example: You have been broken up with your spouse or whatsoever, you would have to think how you should response in order to salvage and maintain the relationship, you have to think(Mental Plane), and when it gives Motivation(Astral/Emotion Plane) and finally act onto the Physical Plane.

III. Principle of Vibration
"Nothing rests; everything moves; everything vibrates."

This Principle embodies the truth that "everything is in motion";  "everything vibrates"; "nothing is at rest"; facts which have Modern Science  endorses and yet this Hermetic Principle was enunciated thousands of years ago. An understanding of this Principle, with the appropriate formulas,  enables Hermetic students to control their own mental vibrations as  well as those of others. The Masters also apply this Principle to the  conquering of Natural phenomena, in various ways.

Law of Attraction: Everything exists as vibration mode. There's nothing doesn't vibrate. Even the Earth's core is vibrating and emitting 7.8GHz. This prove that if we think of a bad thought, you are emitting bad frequency, then you would vibrate negatively. If you are thinking of a good thought, then you are emitting good frequency and vibrate positively. And remember about Law of Correspondence? All planes: Spiritual, Mental, Astral and Physical, are always vibrating.

IV. Principle of Polarity
"Everything is Dual; everything has poles; everything has its pair of  opposites; like and unlike are the same; opposites are identical in  nature, but different in degree; extremes meet; all truths are but  half-truths; all paradoxes may be reconciled."

It explains that in everything there are two poles, or opposite  aspects, and that "opposites" are really only the two extremes of the  same thing. For example: Cold and Heat. What's cold and heat? They are actually the same but different in degree on whether you gain heat or lose heat. Another one: Dark and Light. What's the difference between Dark and Light? They are actually the same, it's just a matter if it's light or absence of light. There's always have a 2-pole for everything. North and South, it's just merely in degree. Don't believe? When you travel yourself to South, you will find yourself travel to North too. And remember the Law of Correspondence, it's applicable in all 4 planes.

Law of Attraction: Love and Hate it's just merely in degree. An understanding of the Principle will enable one to change one's own Polarity. Why do we have to think about bad thoughts, instead we should think something positive. If you want a relationship, don't stress and think about the negative situation, but grab to the another pole and manifest on the positive pole. It's just a merely of degree on whether you like or dislike.

V. Principle of Rhythm
"Everything flows, out and in; everything has its tides; all things  rise and fall; the pendulum-swing manifests in everything; the measure  of the swing to the right is the measure of the swing to the left;  rhythm compensates."

This Principle embodies the truth that in everything there is manifested a measured motion; Pendulum motion. This also states that there is always an action and a reaction; an advance and a retreat, a rising and a sinking. This law is manifest in the creation and destruction of your whatever desires you have for Law of Attraction to manifest. They cannot annul the Principle, or Cause it to cease its operation,  but they have learned how to escape its effects upon themselves to a certain degree depending upon the Mastery of the Principle.

Law of Attraction: There's always good things and bad things. Just like the swing of a Pendulum that moves like a Rhythmic motion. When it swings to the extreme, you will benefit all the advantages and positive vibrations, when it's time to swing back, you will receive all the negativity as much as when you have received on advantages' swing. True Hermetists, Alchemists know how get to the very extreme swing advantages and escape from the swing back by becoming the Law itself. This is an act of Law of Neutralization.

VI. Principle of Cause And Effect
"Every Cause has its Effect; every Effect has its Cause; everything  happens according to Law; Chance is but a name for Law not recognized;  there are many planes of causation, but nothing escapes the Law."

This Principle embodies the fact that there is a Cause for every Effect; an Effect from every Cause. And there's no such thing called: Chance. The Hermetists understand the art and methods of rising above the ordinary plane of Cause and Effect, to a certain degree, and by  mentally rising to a higher plane they become Causers instead of  Effects.

The masses of people are carried along, obedient to environment; the  wills and desires of others stronger than themselves; heredity;  suggestion; and other outward causes moving them about like pawns on  the Chessboard of Life. But the Masters, rising to the plane above,  dominate their moods, characters, qualities, and powers, as well as the  environment surrounding them, and become Movers instead of pawns. They help to PLAY THE GAME OF LIFE, instead of being played and moved about  by other wills and environment.

Law of Attraction: Yes. Whatever you see in the world, it's what we have resulted in, we  are affected by the media, people around us, environment around us and  even the Government's control. This is all because we are the Effect.  True Hermetists know how to raise themselves to a higher plane and to  become the Cause instead of being the Effect. People like them know how  to control any situation or manifest any desire because they are the  Cause and not the Effect of being controlled.

VII. Principle of Gender
"Gender is in everything; everything has its Masculine and Feminine Principles Gender; manifests on all planes."

This Principle embodies the truth that there is Gender manifested in  everything, the Masculine and Feminine Principles ever at work. Everything in this world, is made out of Masculine and Feminine. Illustrate: Electron is being the Feminine and Proton is being the Masculine. Masculine determines and represents positive and Masculine determines and represents Negative. It doesn't mean that Masculine is better or literally positive than Feminine. Both of them work together; Positivity and Negativity must work together to give out Creation. Just like how an atom will form when Electrons surrounds itself with protons. And no creation, physical, mental or spiritual, is possible without this Principle.

Law of Attraction: It just work the same way. Conscious mind is being the Masculine and Sub conscious mind is being the Feminine. Both of them must align and work together in order to manifest a desire and thought into reality. And again, it manifests all planes.

"The Universe is Mental — held in the Mind of THE ALL."

"The possession of Knowledge, unless accompanied by a manifestation and  expression in Action, is like the hoarding of precious metals — a vain  and foolish thing. Knowledge, like Wealth, is intended for Use. The Law  of Use is Universal, and he who violates it suffers by reason of his conflict with natural forces."

"To change your mood or mental state — change your vibration."

"To destroy an undesirable rate of mental vibration, put into operation  the Principle of Polarity and concentrate upon the opposite pole to  that which you desire to suppress. Kill out the undesirable by changing  its polarity."

"Rhythm may be neutralized by an application of the Art of Polarization."

"Nothing escapes the Principle of Cause and Effect, but there are many  Planes of Causation, and one may use the laws of the higher to overcome  the laws of the lower."

"The wise ones serve on the higher, but rule on the lower. They obey  the laws coming from above them, but on their own plane, and those  below them, they rule and give orders. And, yet, in so doing, they form  a part of the Principle, instead of opposing it. The wise man falls in  with the Law, and by understanding its movements he operates it instead  of being its blind slave. Just as does the skilled swimmer turn this  war and that way, going and coming as he will, instead of being as the  log which is carried here and there — so is the wise man as compared to  the ordinary man — and yet both swimmer and log; wise man and fool, are  subject to Law. He who understands this is well on the road to Mastery."

"Mind (as well as metals and elements) may be transmuted, from state to  state; degree to degree; condition to condition; pole to pole;  vibration to vibration. True Hermetic Transmutation is a Mental Art."

Guys. This is just only the outline of The Kybalion from The Three Initiaties. There are lot more to study like Law of Paradox is under the Law of Mentalism. Which explains that it's true that Mental is Reality but it's also true that Physical is Reality because Everything is The All and The All is Reality. It's also correct that The All is within All and All is within The All... ... =P

There is more information than what I have given! Kybalion itself is a guide, you can read it, digest it and apply it. Although I myself have done with the readings, I still have to re-read again and study it.

Thanks for sharing this article Berylac. I was first introduced to these 7 Hermetic Laws and the Kybalion when I read the book The Meta Secret by Dr. Mel Gill (which is a wonderful book btw). He claimed that these "hidden" laws work in concert with the law of attraction and they can be applied to any specific events or situations in our lives. Some of the teachers of The Secret, like Bob Proctor, Joe Vitale and Jack Canfield are also featured in this book as well.

That's a good book. I bought the book last 2 months and the explanation for each Hermetic law's explanation was really well done. Unfortunately, in my own opinion, I think that was really pretty a 'watered-down' version, it doesn't stress much on Mental Transmutation.

I have nothing to be thanked off. I did not write any deep insight and ideology from the Kybalion yet. Those are just a small summary only a chapter out of many chapters from the Kybalion because:

1. The Kybalion itself is a guide book and it's open to public for free. You can even download it and read it legally.
2. I have never come across such a great and bright Wisdom before. I can't give you the true Wisdom because I have not grasped anything. You will have to read it yourself and understand it your own.
3. There is something really valuable inside! The words and wisdom has impacted me much greatly. Even if I told you the outline wisdom and truth from this freaking Kybalion, you will not be able to understand it; Axiom: The lips of wisdom are sealed, except to the ears of understandings. And there's no way I could simplify it.

To be honest, I have spent months researching on this topic, heatedly and painfully. I almost gave out.

Well maybe the why, how, and when is not to be understood, maybe just practiced, and through achieving the results or mastery of the practice we will understand. Sometimes we put too much importance in understanding, it is nice to have the knowledge, but as child eats and is nourished, or takes a step and walks, he does not understand but he believes and achieves, the understanding comes later. So practice shall we all these techniques, and the understanding will come through the journey, or it may not, but the blessing surely will. Thank you again. The Universe or our reality says that following the natural law of eating, walking, and living we will get positive results, therefore to practice these laws or principals we will increase our vibration. You will understand Berylac as you go through the journey.

Very very true Peter. Sometimes we may not understand how or why something works, but what matters is believing that it works for good. Understanding without faith is of no use. While going deep and understanding something is also important, the element of 'Faith' and 'Belief' makes a lot of difference. Thanks a lot for the post

BERYLAC, THAT IS AMAZING!
 Right before joining this forum, I came across the Kybalion (don't remember how or where) and found it to be so stunning and full of wisdom... I studied a bit of Hermetic at the university - not much, nothing in depth, only an introduction and it was very enticing to me ever since.. just that I lacked so much understanding until recently. I got to talk to somebody who's much more of an initiate and began to dig some more.
I am an orthodox christian and I don't feel this comes to contradict my faith in any way. In fact, I find the same principles in both, and that's very motivational for me to remember them all the time. I truly want to act with great awareness of these.

Please keep posting on this topic, I'm a beginner too, I found the book only 1-2 months ago. Most of it speaks to my understanding, but the applying part is the challenge. First, however, I must remove the resistance of my subconscious, such a stronghold....
