I was talking to a friend of mine that comes from a different country and background that has some history and traditions in magic, spells etc. She suggested to cast a spell in order to get what I want, ask from a spirit to help me etc. Her friends and family members had great success doing this stuff.

My background is different so I am not familiar with these things.
But I was thinking about it trying to relate it to LOA. Maybe it is a way to believe it and let it go. If you trust that the spell, the procedure or a spirit can help you, then you leave it all to them, you do nothing as you know they will take care of your wish just like the Universe/God when you ask something. Could it be the same thing?

In my opinion, it is clearly the same thing. I also read a book about Magic and different Rituals and Spells and so on. Came to the conclusion that with all that stuff you basicly practice LoA.
The best example is a so called sigil, where you write down a positive sentence of what you wish to happen and use a specific technique to draw a encoded picture of it and load that into you subcouncious mind. After that you try to totally forget... or detach... from it. If you look at the basic principles of this you will find the LoA.

If it works, hey why not. For some it could work for some it wont. Its a matter of belive, like always.

I agree that its pretty much the same thing. The difference is that while doing spells you focus much more on the result, and it becomes more real to you instead of just sitting there and wishing it happens. My friend was into spells years ago, and i didnt really think it works, but after doing a few things it really changed my view on it.

He gave me one for someone to call you, one of the things that you need to do is write the name down 7 times. I didnt think much of it, but i did it anyways. I picked a friend of mine just as a random person. I went on doing my thing that day, and when i checked my cell there was 7 missed calls from that person. Pretty freaky.

In any case he did give me one that brings love , i havent done it yet, but i will try it this week. I will post it if anyone is interested in giving it a try.

i agree with velocity- its the same- absolutely.

i was into that a time ago, but nothing happened, i tried all- why not?
cause i didnt involve the law of the universe---- trust and believe and let go of it.... i just wanted to force something to happen, better today as tomorrow.

loa works for me and you dont need candles and wands and all the stuff.
i light candles to give thanks or for my best friend who passed, but for loa and miracles, you dont need anything

Today she teaches Good Vibe Blog readers spell casting as a manifesting method. Enjoy!

1. Identifying the purpose of the spell
This first step allows you to collect your thoughts and become conscious of your internal state as well as drawing your awareness to any physical sensations that arise in response to your current situation. This places you fully in the present moment as you contemplate what it is you truly seek, where the root of the matter lies, if your heart is in it and how best to phrase your instruction in an affirmative, current statement to attain resonance on all levels.

2. Preparation for the spell
Gather ingredients such as herbs, crystals or candles, decide on timing in accordance with lunar phases or other natural rhythms and plan what your rite will be, to get into the head space that channels life force toward your desire. The process of planning your petition subtly addresses your sentiments around the subject and creates an opening in your energy indicating your willingness to receive what you are asking for.

3. Creating sacred space from which to cast the spell
Next is to enter a space that is a time with no time in a place with no place where you turn within and connect with your core being. This meditative state facilitates alpha brain waves and verifies your connection with the Greater Whole. In essence, you enter an energy vortex that is untouched by time and that expands throughout all dimensions. It is from this place of unity with the fabric of the universe that you are able to harness Original Substance and craft it into manifest form.

4. Performing the rite itself
This step often consists of a symbolic gesture such as lighting a candle, burning a prayer paper or fashioning a talisman ~ your right brain responds to images and the carrying out of the act itself conveys a strong message to your subconscious mind. Casting a spell shifts your consciousness and provides a sense of action, similar to how locking a door affirms your sense of security. The thrill of casting magic alone raises your vibration, welcomes magical experiences and invites possibilities into your awareness.

5. Loading/Magnetising
Charge an item or raise the intensity of energy within the cone of power (vortex) you have conjured. This can be done through holding a vision of your desired result in rich visualisation, chanting a rhyme, brandishing a wand, drumming, dancing or a myriad other ways that facilitate pouring your creative essence into the etheric form of your intention. Loading aligns body, mind, emotion and spirit to cohere into a swirling magical missile.

6. Release
Finally, cast your magic into the universe like a cosmic flare and severe any attachment to the outcome by forgetting about it and going about your day as usual in the full knowledge that it is done. This practise relinquishes control and allows aspects unknown to you to unfold.

I also did a 9 day spellwork to get someone to love me. I have to say it worked but this person is not what I wanted for a life partner after we knew each other for a while. She is still a very good friend but that's all there is.
The process is very similar. You first petition for your wish (Ask), then you do the spellwork process (similar to visualizing) and do an offering each day (gratitude) and at the end of the 9 day spellwork, you bury your candles and stuff and do the final offering. Once that is all done, you just go about what you do everyday. We were asked not to dwell and think about our hearts desire negatively but rather allow the spellwork to do it's work (Believe).

At the moment, I'm combining both the LOA and candles adjunct spellwork (not the 9 day spellwork) to help me with my desires.

I do believe that "spellwork" is really LOA. If you believe it works and detach it is the same thing in principal

I sent them the info, im not sure if anyone did them or not. But from my past experience yes it did work.

spells do work. But there's a problem. Most of the "ingredients" required for the spells aren't readily available. And also performin it is funny and many aren't comfortable with chanting and other actions that must be done.

There are many spells for every taste! From simple candle ones or honey jars, to more complex like working with spirits, bad spirits from hell to torture the lover until he comes bac, or Saints.
I have heard many good things for Saint Martha the Dominator, she helps women in their love life in general or to have their men back. (especially when the man was unfair to the woman and left without the woman having done something wrong). I have a friend that established a relationship with her and had a successful reconciliation working with her every Tuesday. If you are familiar with Christianism you can try it. I believe it helps increasing faith and the feeling that you are not alone and have guidance.
