Law of attraction and my education
« on: January 09, 2011, 05:01:32 PM »
Hello all,

I need some guidance here. Kindly advice me. I am into my final year of Degree. Due to ill health i had to miss many classes in the year. My college has very strict rules regarding attendance. Now that i do not have the required percentage of attendance, the college authorities are telling me that the only way left for me is to repeat the final year. I have been a topper throughout my academics and have always dreamt of getting the gold medal in the final year. I have managed to gather all the study material and prepare for exams despite not being able to attend the classes, but my college says there is no way I can be let to write the exam this year. I do not want to repeat the year. I want to give the exams this time only and graduate along with my batchmates. How do I apply the Law here? I am new to Law of Attraction. So please guide me.
I am living the life of my dreams...NOW!

Hi,

Have you studied or research what is Law of Attraction yet ? I need to know whether if you have learnt the Law of Attraction and start implement or you have just started it, I need to know how far you have understood Law of Attraction you have traveled.

If you already have clearly studied the Law of Attraction, tell me what will you do ? What is your next step ?

Regards,
Berylac

Hi Berylac

Thanks a lot for your reply. I learnt about Law of Attraction from the book The Secret. I then read the Power and a few articles on the web. I do not claim to have clearly understood the Law. I need more guidance. But from what I have understood, in order to attain our desired goals, we need to:

1.Get clear about what exactly we want: This I have done. I know that I want to graduate from my University in Honours in English Studies with a gold medal for the batch 2008-2011 (my current batch-mine is a three year course)

2.Ask for it, Feel it, Believe it'll come: I have asked and believed (though some times i panic. Dont know how to overcome it). I have visualised me sitting in our auditorium along with my batchmates on the graduation day, and then me walking up to the dias and receiving my gold medal. I have even made my vision board for this. I feel really thrilled.

3.Take inspired actions: 2 days back, I felt a nudge to mail my teacher from college. I didnt know what exactly i had to mail about, but i felt strongly that i have to. So i mailed him asking about what I could do about the exams. But he said I only have to repeat which means I'l lose one whole year. The other authorities of my college also tell the same thing. Another action I have taken is, I have been preparing for the exams by collecting study material from my friends.

4.Let go of attachment and trust that the Universe will make my wish come true: I do not know how far I have been successful in this because as i said earlier, I still panic sometimes.

This is how I am applying the Law. Am I right in understanding it? What other steps can i take? How can i not panic? Please guide me. I need your positive guidance

Eventually, after applying the law and letting go, you will get an answer.   The LOA does not work with our time lines very well.   There may be a good reason in the end if you have to sit out the exams because of attendance.   I had a couple of friends who had a problem in dental school and had to sit out a year.  When they returned they had the highest honors and had the most success in their practices.

I am not saying that you will not get your desire, but letting go means you will be able to work with any outcome because it will be good for you.

Hi Vicky

Thank you for the reply. You may be right in that I may benefit from repeating the year. But I had already applied for the Masters programme, and I will be called for an interview only after I finish this exam. That is why I was a bit tensed. But now I am relatively calmer, happier and joyful. I am sure things will take a wonderful turn. Thanks for your advice.

VC and Berylac, thanks for taking time to read my post and reply. I was very tensed all the time about what would happen if I cannot take up the exams, and how would I face people if I had to repeat the year, etc. I realized now that all the delay in my manifesting this desire has stemmed from my fears of 'if i fail to get what I want'. And also, I have been thinking too much about pleasing others and forgot to put myself in the centre. Yesterday, i don't know how or why, I suddenly felt very calm and relaxed about this whole business. I no longer fret about writing the exams now or repeating the year. I know whatever happens is in my best interest. I am letting go of all the resistance right now. I am looking forward to great days ahead.

Also, as I mentioned earlier, my college is very strict with attendance. Even health reasons are not always considered. But in my case, everyone from the administration staff to the teachers, have been very kind and compassionate. They call me, mail me to motivate me. They even informed me about a few alternative courses i can take up in the meanwhile. It feels WONDERFUL to be loved by my college as well! :) So at least I have succeeded to some extent in my manifestation  ;)

Hey belive!
I make a wish and then I get involved in something I enjoy, which is totally unrelated to the dream. For instance, I made a wish about my education, then I involved myself in dance (I love dance!). I forgot about the previous wish for a while, which is nothing but letting go. And it manifested :)

Hi angel, well done on your honrs class, lots of love and prosperity coming right to YOU from the UNIVERSE!! :D :D

a couple of points if i may, one you have touched on

it is very good to have something specific, but i have found that the more "realistic" something is you can manifest it much quicker, for instance, it would take me a lot longer to manifest my dream of seeing the aurora lights than it is to say, manifest someone who lives in the same village as me.. i think thats right from my experiance anyway, feel free to correct me anyone if that is not right

it is good to have a "MAIN GOAL" that you love doing then a "SUB SET" of goals that you want
by main goal i mean "the big one" that you REALLY REALLY want. this is your gold medal. then the SUB GOALS are little "stepping stones" ie: your dance. these help you detach and forget about your "MAIN GOAL". for me i am writing a book i am going to get published.. i know it will take me a few years to do and i am fine with that, but by giving myself a "main goal" (one that is far far ahead) i manifest "sub goals" (ie: getting a girl i fancy, money, etc) much more easily

secondly i find mixing all the feelings of Happiness, Gratitude and Praise up helps when daydreaming of your desire. these feelings help to make it all much more potent and stronger.  Manners cost nothing!!

good luck!!!!! :D

Hey Craig! Thanks for the post. Here are a few things I would like to mention.
it is very good to have something specific, but i have found that the more "realistic" something is you can manifest it much quicker, for instance, it would take me a lot longer to manifest my dream of seeing the aurora lights than it is to say, manifest someone who lives in the same village as me.. i think thats right from my experiance anyway, feel free to correct me anyone if that is not right
What's 'realistic' and whats not is only a matter of perception. For beginners, this may be a difficult thing to understand but this is the truth. When I joined this forum, I was one of those believing in 'realistic'. But now I know (thanks to help from all the forum members) that I create my own reality. So I have manifested many 'unrealistic' things because I believed. Your experience may be different and I totally respect it. Its very subjective :)
it is good to have a "MAIN GOAL" that you love doing then a "SUB SET" of goals that you want by main goal i mean "the big one" that you REALLY REALLY want. this is your gold medal. then the SUB GOALS are little "stepping stones" ie: your dance. these help you detach and forget about your "MAIN GOAL
Gold medal and dance are both my MAIN GOALS. I have many more MAIN GOALS, some of which already manifested and some on their way. For me all my goals are equally important. I really really want each one of them. I did not turn to dance just to detach from gold medal. I did so because I really love dance and I want to be a successful performer. And it just eventually helped me detach from gold medal for a while. It is not necessary to have just one main goal as such. You can be as many things as you want to be and you can be equally successful in each one of them. The more you learn about LOA, the more changes you see in your beliefs. Once you are open, there is no limit to what you can achieve in as many fields as you wish.

secondly i find mixing all the feelings of Happiness, Gratitude and Praise up helps when daydreaming of your desire. these feelings help to make it all much more potent and stronger.  Manners cost nothing!!
good luck!!!!! :D
Absolutely true :) I completely agree with it. The power of gratitude is unexplainable :)

Yay yay yay! I am going to get my study material from college tomorrow! I am giving my viva exams in a couple of days. All this happens in a college which is hell bent on attendance and I literally havent attended one whole year! What's a miracle if this is not? I cant thank the Universe enough :) ;) :D ;D :-*
