Has anyone tried an LOA coach?

I'm going to start working with Hemal Radia in the morning. Does anyone have any stories of experiences they had with a coach?

Hi,

I'm in month seven of the Jack Canfield coaching program. It focuses primarily on his success principles but at the heart of most of those is LOA and things to do to clear the way. My personal coach (not Jack himself but one of his trained mentors) helped me many times to work through some blocks using LOA.

One time in particular is that I'm in a job I don't feel particularly serves me anymore. I was stuck in a department that I really was starting to loathe and felt pretty bad about working everyday. My coach asked me to lists some of the things that I appreciated about the job, and though it was tough I came up with about four things I really felt were true. I focused on those over the next few weeks, writing them in my gratitude journal and reminding myself each time I started to feel bad. By the end of those few weeks I had been asked to change departments to the one I wanted, working with people I'd loved working with before, doing the type of work that I really enjoyed.


So LOA at work and that is just one example of the help they've offered.  I think coaching prorams can be great...but just make sure the one you pick really fits you.

To find a coach is pretty easy. Look at the books which you read, then hit Google. Most authors will offer a coaching program of some description.

Remember a coach can't do 'the work' for you. That's is up to you. They can offer advice etc. Yet, the real changes have to be made for you. I find most coaches don't actually hold you accountable a great deal. They will offer advice, but then not actively chase you. For many they are just an excuse, well I tried X and it didn't work. Most of the time you'll find that you the student just 'gave up.
