Author Topic: Does the Universe Test Our Faith in LOA? (Read 587 times)

I'd like to get people's opinions on this? Do you think that the Universe sends us specific challenges to test our faith and/or progress?

For the last month or so, I've been feeling great. Really, truly great. Happy, positive, energized. I've come the closest to detached from my desire to be with my guy than I've ever been. Then something will happen that will challenge all of this by slapping me in the face with what my reality is. As I go through this process, it's harder and harder to doubt that LOA works - I keep seeing it work. And I can't ignore all of the signs that I get that my manifestation is on its way to me. But then something will happen (like seeing proof that he is still seeing this girl) that makes me just doubt it all and then I feel crazy for believing in it all.

I woke up this morning and the thought came to me that perhaps this is a test of everything I've learned thus far. Maybe this is a challenge in keeping faith and positive about the situation. Just wondering if anyone else has thought this.

I've had the exact same feeling as you Irishgirl!! I've tried to manifest different things, from work to a relationship and while I have had some successful manifestatios, over things have been harder and as I was seeing some wishes come true and signs of things going my way, something unexpected got in the way.

As I thought about it occured to me that maybe this was a challenge of some sort, at least it felt like that. I also thought that as my wish was taking shape in my reality I became more aware of it and self conscious of what was happening and that maybe it made me attached to it somehow or that it stopped the whole process.

I'm going through the same thing right now too. I'm trying to get my best friend/ex back in my life and I've seen many signs that this will happen. I've even been keeping a list of them. But then there are many times where I think that's it's hopeless and give up. But then something happens to make me start believing again. Not necessarily a sign, but more a mind over matter thing. It's been that kind of a round and round process for me for the past month. Maybe the Universe IS testing us all if we doubt to make sure we BELIEVE. I know for my situation that I know deep down things will resolve itself in due time because LOA worked for me before in the exact same situation. Only last time I wasn't aware I was doing it! But I do believe because I would have given up a long time ago.

We test the Universe. We constantly challenge our own belief system. What do you think?

Yes it is we who test, challenge, doubt and complain. The Universe is prompt in its duty. If we are prompt in our faith, thats the only thing that matters. Universe just delivers because for the Universe we are already deserving and worthy of everything we desire. There is no need to test. It is we who judge ourselves which lead to confusion within some
times.

I believe the universe does test our faith in LOA. I remember going through a similar situation a few years back. To make a long story short, I met my first love when I was 15 years old. He was a few years older than me. I was madly in love with him. He broke up with me when I told him how old I was. I was crushed. I begged him to take me back. He didn't. I always knew he would come back. I would think about it night & day. All the time. A few years passed & he found me on myspace. I couldn't believe it! The feelings were still the same. Unfortunately, our reunion ended abruptly again, sending me into a deep, deep depression. I was still very much in love with him. although I was hurt, I knew deep down he would come back for me again. Another few years past. He returned. They same cycle kept repeating itself again. For 9 years straight!

Each time right before we were to be reunited, I always saw "signs" confirming that he was coming back to me. It didn't matter if he was with someone else, it didn't matter that people told me to stay away from him, it didn't matter what my mother told me, I knew beyond a reasonable doubt that me and the man I was in love with was going to be together. I was tested MANY times. The universe wanted to know that I was SERIOUS. Even in moments when I wasn't sure, or I reflected back on the hurt I felt when he left, I still focused right back on my feelings for him & his feelings for me. I believed we communicated telepathically. This is how we stayed connected. I just believed & didn't allow ANYTHING to make me think otherwise.

So to answer your question, yes the universe tests us to make sure we want what we want. The longer we hold our attention & focus on what we want no matter the circumstances or the situation, it will come to us faster. We must not doubt even for a second what we want because that can delay the manifestation of our desire. I hope this helps! Good luck to you!

That's kind of what I was getting at but he explained it much better. I feel like the things that have happened are specifically to show me what I need to work on and/or to show me where I am. I don't think it's a coincidence that the day I send my guy a text to meet up this weekend this other girl posts pictures to show they are spending time together. I think it happened to test my faith that what I want will manifest. It's clearing out deep rooted insecurities. It's a good thing.

I'm experiencing the exact same thing as you at another level! I suppose it is part of the process somehow. ( Actually I'd like to share something private with you via MP if that's ok! which is related )
If it can make you feel better, I really don't believe it is a way to tell us that it is not meant to be ( it crossed my mind a long time ago) because I manifested big things and I had experienced such setbacks on the way to manifesting those.

I really wanted to post something in Irishgirl’s post before I went to work this morning, but then I didn’t have much time. A very interesting topic Irishgirl!

I think, the Universe really wants us to know how important it is to us to have the desires of our hearts, how committed to us to really get what we desire. While we are in the journey of getting what we truly desires, the Universe also want to make sure that we become the best in ourselves, with hearts and minds that are so appreciative of our gifts! We need to be prepared in all aspects of our being before it will be given to us. Hmmm just imagine what kind of life it will be when every thought that came across in our minds to be given to us right in front of us just few seconds after we wish for it! When a negative thought came across when we are mad at someone poof
