So i'm a little depressed..... for the past few days i've been so happy and being grateful about every little thing.... my dream is to travel the world and i am imagining me traveling and feeling really good and loving every bit of it and this was helping me realise my dream. Today i wanted to tell my parents that i am going to go travelling this year for around  9 - 12 months and i couldnt do it, they really want me to find someone and settle down and i'm afraid of letting them down or disappointing them.... i just cant shake this feeling and its making me depressed.... but i'm afraid that if i dont travel now then i never will and i will end up regretting it.

How can the law of attraction help??  i understand why i'm feeling like this and i accept it, no one likes to let their parents down...

Hi Hopeful, don't lose hope. ... Good that you are visualizing that you are travelling, keep doing that... as far as I know about this law is that if you are positive and FEELING GOOD, your good can overflow into others and miracles happen. And when this miracle happens, your parents will not be Disappointed/let down and you will achieve what you wished for. BELIEVE in  yourself..  Get a gratitude journal and write in that: " I am grateful to my parents for......  see the change and it WORKS!! Hope it helps you!!

i know that no matter what i do my parents will support me, i just dont want to feel like i'm letting them down.

i started to do a journal a month ago and kept it up for a month or so but nothing happened.... i know i should keep it up and believe in it; i didnt love myself for it any more or any less so i gave it up. i think i just need inspiration in that a gratitude journal does work, so i'm looking through the forum to feel postive about it again....

Hopeful, it is very sweet of you that you are so much caring and think about your parents.  Law of attraction has a thousands of different methods and I hope you will find nearly all of them here. If one method did not give result, go for another one.  Go for a method that strikes you the most, that makes you feel better.  Don't repeat the mistake that I made an year ago- doing things as if they are part of our daily routine- I did that and manifested nothing... I gave up very soon..... Choose a method that will excite you as you do it- if not gratitude journal, something else and so on... but the thing is that you should feel EXCITED when doing it.

In addition to that, I recently started meditation. I am  not very good at that but I am learning it. It multiplies your visualization power

i am grateful everyday but i tend to say thanks when it happens. i feel more then writing it down after a long day... thats when i feel like the journal is more like a chore and i just dont want to write. i'm now on the hunt for alternatives to manifesting!

Hey! your parents want u to settle down with someone... its quite possible that you find someone who loves to travel and with whom you will travel a lot... as you visualized travelling.
It is possible, What do you think?

it is quite possible.... to be honest i want to meet someone too, and travel and love seem to be popping up everywhere! its quite strange, for example i was reading eat pray love a couple of weeks ago and Liz falls in love whilst travelling.... one of my best friends knows this air hostess who enjoys travelling of course and she meets someone in bali and now there getting married.... this morning on the train i was reading one of the free papers i never even get chance to read the free paper as by the time i get the train theres none left! anyway there was this article about a woman who went to NZ and she fell in love and now there getting married, what do you think about that??

thank you so much passionmax, after reading your comments and what other people have said on the forum, my feelings got better and i understood what i was really scared off.
i now know where i need to grow, i used to be really insecure about myself and whilst using the law of attraction i've learnt to deal with it by understanding why i felt like this in the first place (letting people down and scared that they will not love me... well along those lines anyway) i am actively grateful for realising this as the only way is to love ones self.... i guess yesterday i stopped loving me. everyone has bad days its how you overcome it that makes you stronger.
