Can you guys help me get my life back on track?

Okay, here's my story

Im 17, and I live in the suburbs of NY. I have been called an ugly ****, S**t in the face, fetus face, and not just even by people in my school. Over February break I found out my mother has breast cancer. Thankfully, she caught it in time, so she had a mastectomy. She had it though, right during the power outage that hit the north east. It was without a doubt one of the most depressing times. Here she is, recovering from surgery, and we have no power at our house. No water, no heat, nothing...for 5 days.

Okay, fine. Bad 5 days, but I have had so much pressure though put on me and i feel like im letting people down. I have to take care of my mother, especially when she start chemo and radiation next week, but i have commitments to other things that i just can't keep. I'm exhausted, both physically and mentally. People won't talk to me, and I have no idea why. I'd love a girlfriend; it would make me feel so much better about my self, but I can't converse with people from my school...and I look like s**t. Remember that. I've turned to smoking e cigarettes. It does make me happy, if only for a moment. What I really want is some weed. Heck, what I want is my life back.

God im so depressed. There are very few things that can make me happy now. I've tried the law of attraction, but the good things are very slow to come. The bad stuff is like lighting fast.

Please if i could get some help, it would mean a lot to me.

OK,

Pack it in, don't tell yourself you look like *****! How do you think others see you? I think you already have your answer. So how do you want to look instead?

The only person you're letting down is yourself.

OK, so you have many things you want to change. GREAT!  By the sounds of it in your post it isn't going to be the quickest and easiest thing for you as things currently stand, that's OK.

But, what do you want? You've listed all this "bad" stuff. How do you want your life to be instead?

Mother -  any other friends or family? If not no worries, this is all just requiring growth from you. As you change things around you change.

Start imaging people will and do talk to you, even if it is only pretend at first in your head. You have to see everything you want there first anyway.

1.Write down all your goals. In the positive, present tense. They must be the end result and of what you want and not what you don't want. I have, I am, I feel, I easily....

They have to be your goals and not goals for your mother and others etc.

2.Get a vision board going. Visualise your end results - eat, sleep and breath them.

LOA and speed, Bad things come fast because that is what you focus on most of the time, ergo that is where most of your energy is. Reread your post.

What today and each day can you do towards your own goals? Put a pair of trainers on and go for a run. Read all the uplifting books you can, watch inspiring movies.  Find people who have been in your position and succeeded. Copy them, email them. Change is possible, if you want it.

Yes, you may go forward and then take a step back, it happens as you change and things around you change that is OK.

You've reached a point where you think you can change. The rest is up to you. Once you start getting serious and deciding (comes from the Latin meaning to cut off). The universe will OK, lets rock.

  • Laughoutloudx3: Calm- that happens in all of my dreams & is a great mystery to me!! And that only happens with him!! Every now & then he will look like him...but some other times he will look nothing like himself, and even more bizarre is that most of the time he looks like a previous ex of mine, but yet it still really is him!! That drives me mad bc I do not know why his face appears as this other ex that I do not care about in that way. I always always know it is my guy though. I just wish he would look like him lol!!!!

  • LifeIsGoodToday: That wasn't the reason for my break though, there was a particular troll, HQ, that come coming back and just really giving the whole forum grief and negativity. It started to affect me. So I moved away for awhile. And honestly, I got so into work and her. I still lurked some, not often. But I think I should have b/c supporting others in a great way to grow in using LoA positively in your life!

  • Calm: Life - sometimes it's good to take a break.  Spending too much time here in a certain state of mind, can make one dwell too much on what one doesn't have, to my mind.  Breaks are good!
