An epiphany and where I failed
« on: January 13, 2012, 05:01:11 AM »
I've been able to manifest a lot of things along the years by using the LOA, but there has been a few things which have failed for no reason no matter how much I wanted them or tried.

This had been bothering me for a while and as I kept trying to analyse why certain things happened and not others it suddenly occured to me that I had manifested exactly what I had asked for I just didn't realize it. Visualization is the technique that works the best for me and pretty much the only technique that brought "real" results.

The thing with visualization is that you can really focus on one scene in particular that you want to manifest and this is where I realized that I wasn't using it properly. All along, I thought I was focusing on my goals but I was only focusing on a step believing that the goal would naturally manifest after the step, that it was implicit. The scene/step I visualized always manifested but not the main goal.

For instance when I wanted to improve a relationship I would visualize a nice conversation, the nice conversation would manifest but after it things would get back to what they were before, because i got what i visualized and only that: the nice conversation!

Another example, I tried to attract a man into my life and us to live together, I visualized him telling me about living together, and sure enough this happened, he brought up this conversation and for months plans were made and the subject was constantly talked about..but it didn't happen because I realize now that I only got what I asked for: him to tell me he wanted us to live together instead of visualizing the end result of us actually living together.

I realize now that when I thought the law had failed me it was me who had failed to understand the law. I always got what I visualized and asked for, and nothing more than that. The universe gives you what you put your energy on, and for me what I visualized and only that, it doesn't guess what your goal is, it just brings what you've focused on and in my case one particular scene/step.

I hope this will also help others in the same situation!

Thanks for posting this Lilly! I think you helped me realize something in my job situation that I just posted in the Wealth board that was confusing me. I think maybe I was focusing too much attention on how happy I would be leaving the job where I'm at now, instead of focusing on the qualities I was looking for in this new job.

Hmm... something to ponder about and figure out how to do it right the next time!

This was a great post!  :)

Thanks for posting this Lilly.  I agree with you, visualisation works best for me too. But how do visualise repeated actions? Also, how do you visualise something that doesn't have a strong visual component? So, for example, if you wanted a close, affectionate, loving / supportive relationship with someone with frequent, open and unrestricted communication, how would you visualise that? I have difficulties visualising something like that without focussing on a specific incident. And, just like with you, the incident may manifest but not the end goal.

That's something I'm also trying to figure out Ginny. Since we need to keep in mind the end result and not just an aspect of it we need to make sure that we visualize something that illustrate that end result and that this praticular visualization could only be triggered once your end result has taken place.
In your situation the first idea that would come to mind is to visualize a scene with your lover where you compliment him about being affectionate, loving etc, because complimenting about it means that your wish has been fulfilled.
