Iron Ur, I don't think you quite understood what I was saying. (Perhaps it was due to my sarcasm.) I know it's good for one's health, both physical and psychological, to be happy. Of course I'd rather be happy than unhappy in any circumstance, but I think that view kind of takes back the power that the teachings of the Law of Attraction promise in the first place... that you can use your thoughts to bring about EXTERNAL change as well as internal change.

Scheherezade your bitter post was hilarious. The point is the situation is what it is, so you have two options right now. You can choose to be angry/disappointed or happy/grateful for what you have.  I understand the frustration but beating yourself up over it does nothing for you, but if you turn it into positive expectation you will at least feel better  and possibly approach the issue with a more level head.

ONLY WE DECIDE HOW WE TAKE SOMETHING and how we react on it. staying in an angry state wont lead to anything good. choosing though to be happy, no matter what, will bring more things in your life which bring you more happiness. thats the law. so i am not wasting my time anymore to be sad and depressed, i choose to be happy...... happiness starts only within us.

The Universe is not 'dumb', it is unbias, not dumb. I'll explain this in more detail.
 
True Happiness comes from inner peace. This State of happiness is your natural state, in this state your become aligned with your desires because you assume your true identity.

As your are connected with your spirit, your true self, it knows your desires as you do. The desires of your spirit is to create the things you desire. However it can't do this when your resisting or disconnected.

you have to connecte and in harmoy with your spirit. inner peace, happiness, mindfulness and detatchment.

it your fearful, angery stressed. your energy is sent out and more of those things that make you that way. if your calm, happy and joyful more things that bring those events come.

EDIT:

remeber what alot of those people teaching LOA say? imagine as if you already had your desire? if having your desire would make you happy, being happy says you already have it.

Scheherezade is really the one I should be thanking.

It hit me earlier that her questions wasn't simply so much that she didn't understand. But that she is the manifestation of me not fully understanding either.

basically I attracted that question to give myself the answer. We focus so much on the Manifesting part. the LOA and such. LOA is just a tool, it's not the solution.

You could manifest 10 billion dollers, but that itself doesn't make you happy, if you become more stressed about what to do with it and how to spend it etc.

Manifestion a relationship, if that person becomes a monster so to speak.

The real thing here is that we should be connected with ourselves, our spirit. And constantly retain that connection. Thats what we really want, all the manifestations are just a big bonus. We can never enjoy those things if we're not happy, nor if we become afraid to lose them.

Scheherezade's question got the gears rolling in my head, and made me realize that.  Thank you Scheherezade

if I don't get into med school then someone will say, "Oh you didn't really desire it, or it wasn't meant to be".  Well if that's the case, why put intentions out to begin with?  Not trying to bring people down, just trying to wrap my brain around this lol.

I understand what you mean completely. This is one if the most frustrating things about LOA, and part of what put me off when I first learned about it as a child. It just seemed like a get-out clause, so that no one has to explain things properly. Don't tell me I don't reallywant something when I know I do! Tell me what I'm doing wrong, sure, but don't make up feelings I don't have just so that you can claim your theory is still correct!

I think iron ur has explained it wonderfully though - and this has been my experience also: when I'm feeling great (ie, in alignment I guess) good stuff comes.

When things dont manifest and people say "It wasnt meant to be" I think that in a way is confusing the universe/LOA with something like God. The universe doesnt judge you or decide whether or not you get what you want, you dont have to be worthy or prove yourself or convince it or negotiate with it. I dont believe it has the humanistic qualities people tend to give it. Its just a universal force that is constant. You can be do or having ANYTHING all you have to do is be aligned with your desire. Thats it. And how and when that happens is all up to you.

This course is a GREAT introductory course.  Much better and at a higher level than most New-Age stuff.

What peopole don't understand, though, is that you only attract what you subconscious wants.  Your conscious mind is just there to tell the subconscious what to do.  Its sole power consists in giving orders.  The conscious mind is like Napoleon and the subconscious mind is like his army: by itself Napoleon can do nothing, and an army without a commander is chaotic and ineffective; but together they wield a mighty force indeed.   The art of manifestation is the art of getting your message to sink deep in your mind.  Easier said than done, but keep at it.

But iron ur, sometimes it happens, wen u r happy, something or the other happen to make u sad, even though thats not vibration u had sent............sometimes wen i send positive vibrations, sad and anger comes back........can any1 help help with this query of mine
