How I 'cross-out' a wish that has come true.
« on: February 17, 2011, 03:59:11 AM »
Hello!

I figured that someone might find this a little useful so I decided to share it with everyone.

I use the LOA with a pen and paper. I have a notebook where I write all my wishes and every night I spend time writing about the things I'm grateful for and describing the things that I want to happen. I absolutely love the feeling of writing, which is why I do it this way.

However, I've recently had a problem when it comes to the wishes that have come true. When I was reading about the LOA on the net, it always says that you should cross-out the wishes that have come true. The problem I have is this: Crossing-out my own wish looks very painful on paper to me. I only ever cross things out on paper when I dislike them, or when I have made a mistake. I wanted to find a way to separate the wishes that have come true from the ones that haven't yet, but I wanted to do it in a way that would make the wishes that have come true feel happy as well. (I realize that I might not make a lot of sense at times, but you'd really be amazed if you knew how much love I have for a pen and paper.)

Anyways, I decided that the best way to do it would be to take a felt tip pen (or a marker) and write THANK YOU in capital letters across the text of the wish that has come true. This way, when I look at my wish list, my completed wishes look happy and beautiful, rather than crossed out or scribbled over carelessly.

Just thought that this might help someone. ^.^

I write a lot and then tick off things when they happen. I like your way. Sometimes I write what I'm grateful for (things I'm already grateful for) mixed in with things I want to be grateful for ( that have not yet happened) I get a bit lost sometimes as to what was true at the time I wrote it!!! I like doing it that way as it seems more believeable -tricking myself rather than the universe.

Not everything we wish for come true, though they don't there are reasons why they weren't given to us. If we sometimes we feel hurt because that wish didn't come true, it's okay  :D learning to accept things is the key to become more stronger and can think of better wishes. In a 2-column sheet, put all the wishes that have come true on column A. On column B put the wishes that didn't come true, then compare, you'll be surprised of the results.
